Race Night 9: S1GG
« on: November 03, 2012, 08:41:15 pm »
Another successful race with SADX. We beat the largest race number for SADX on SRL by six racers and we made it to double figures again.

The next race is Sonic 1 GG. Either GG or MS version is allowed. GG version must be used. There are really only two goals for this, which is beat the game or beat the game with chaos emeralds. You have till Saturday 12pm EDT to vote.

1) No chaos emeralds: 5

Current as of reply #12

While undoubtedly learning the positions of the chaos emeralds would take two seconds (I remember where the first 3 are for a start) that is effort, so put me down for no chaos emeralds.

Any% for initial race, 100% for rematch. This game is pretty short.

Earlier Zorkiy asked me about what we will do if someone game overs. Since SRL doesn't allow savestates and there is no level select, if you game over you would have to start at the beginning again. So I would suggest practicing and making sure you know where those extra lives are >_>

I like this idea.

As for game overing, yeah, it will suck. Luckily this game is extra generous with lives so I think people can manage. It's also very easy.

They can do that if they want to, but just in case people don't want to .quit then they should look for those lives. Up to you guys of course, just wanted to reminded you in case anyone forgot, since it turns out two people did.

Just saying, you shouldn't really quit. One, if you want to join back in chances are you will be too late in the race. Two, you can always mark the time before you game overed, and start up the timer from there on and compare your time.

just a thought, the gg version is significantly faster than the sms version (in the levels), except for loading times, will it be fair if we use different versions?

Sorry should've closed the votes earlier been busy. However, it was pretty clear that no emeralds won.

We use GG version.
